A grab bucket bridge crane, also known as a grab crane or grabber crane, is a type of double girder overhead crane equipped with a grab bucket as its lifting attachment. It is specifically designed for handling bulk materials such as coal, sand, gravel, and other loose materials. Grab crane is a heavy duty overhead crane equipped with grab bucket, which is a tool for efficient loading and unloading.

The grab bucket itself is a specialized container with two or more jaws or clamshell-like structures that can open and close to grip and release the materials. It is suspended from the crane's hoisting mechanism and is operated by the crane operator to pick up and deposit the materials as needed.
